To ensure a quality finish, consideration of conditions including humidity, temperature, presence of soluble salts must be taken into account. Additional other factors including UV exposure,weather exposure and industrial requirements are also critical in the planning phase.

Quality control inspection and testing performed throughout the surface preparation and protection confirms adhesion and chemical bonding that is necessary to maximize resistance to wear and weather exposures and is cost effective in the way of reduced maintenance.
Our surface preparation and protection teams consist of NACE, ACA and Industrial Chemistry qualified people.

TBS Contract Services performs surface preparation and painting for a range of industrial, commercial, government and domestic clients in the oil and gas, roads and rail, water, chemical and domestic markets.
In accordance with our commitment to protect people and environment, work habitats are constructed to enable surface preparation and protection activities to be undertaken in enclosed areas. Dust and other waste is removed from the containments through extraction units fitted with HEPA filters to protect the health of workers and other people in the area and to protect the land, water and air environments.
Where it is not practical to perform blasting using abrasive media, ultra high pressure water jetting (UHPWJ) and high pressure water jetting (HPWJ) is another method employed by TBS Contract Services for surface preparation. Using these methods, water blasting at pressures ranging from 4000 psi �40,000 psi removes old coatings, rust and other contaminates on surfaces.
